Nuevas Sonrisas: Volunteer equipment technician

Modern dentistry requires electricity – which is sometimes in short supply in rural Guatemala. We always need mechanically-inclined handymen and women who can make things work: pumps, electricity, water, tools, compressors, generators – anything that can break down and go wrong in a rural setting with unreliable infrastructure.

Our experienced equipment technicians will train you in the operation of our equipment – and you will have the opportunity to trouble-shoot mechanical problems that often call for ingenuity and creative thinking. We will all appreciate what you do to keep things running.

Spanish proficiency is great but not required. You should be capable of lifting 60 pounds.
